Rev. Cindy Lamb will be installed on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the 10 AM worship service. Our Arizona District Superintendent, Rev. Doug Pierce, will officiate.
Pastor Cindy sensed God’s call to ministry shortly after she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized as a child at the age of eleven. That calling has taken her on an amazing journey, serving in ministry for over twenty-five years. Sheis an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and attended classes at Nazarene Bible College. She served as a staff pastor at Colorado Springs First Church for a total of twelve years. She also served as a staff pastor at Sun City Church of the Nazarene here in Arizona for three years. She served as the interim senior pastor at Sunman Community Church in Indiana for twenty months. Other than pastoring, her other experiences include serving as a Hospice Chaplain, helping to begin a Christian nonprofit ministry in her hometown in Indiana where she served at the Executive Director for five years, working in Short-term Missions at a ministry headquarters in Colorado Springs, and she served as Interim Chaplain at Nazarene Bible College. Cindy’s favorite quote is, “Don’t tell God how big your mountains are; tell the mountains how big your God is!” Her favorite life verses are Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

The following are the core values of the Nazarene church.
Our mission statement is to reach our broken world with the love and hope of Jesus Christ!
We believe that God calls us to live a holy life. The Holy Spirit convicts, cleanses, fills, and empowers us. The Bible also informs us of how to live a holy life. God’s spirit works within us to reproduce in us a character of holy love.
We are followers of Christ. We profess belief in Jesus as the Christ and follow His teachings. Additionally, we believe that God offers grace and will forgive our sins if we let the Holy Spirit in our hearts. We believe in the Trinity.
God tells us that we need to help others. We are a witness to God’s love and it’s our job to share this love. Therefore, we do this by serving our community and world through practical methods and by covering others with prayer. We believe in love in action!

“
“I started attending the Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene about a year ago, and I must say it is one of the most tight knit churches I have ever attended. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. It truly feels like a family. Every person is accepted and loved despite their pasts. I love being apart of the worship here! The Holy Spirit fills this place with love and laughter. We are more than a church, we are a community.”
Church Member
Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene is supported by a dedicated leadership.
Interim Pastor
Pastor Killen is a retired District Superintendent from the Hawaii District who is a familiar face to many of our congregation after serving as our Interim Pastor for nearly a year before Pastor Katy was called to our church. We are delighted to have Bob and Ruth serving while we conduct our pastoral search after Pastor Katy retired.
Music and Sunday School
Loyd Rains is a trained musician who grew up singing in the church choir. We are blessed by his organization of the praise team each service. Loyd helps provide a lively ensemble of worship music. He believes in providing music to which people can open themselves to the movement of the Holy Spirt. Loyd enjoys both contemporary Christian music as well as traditional hymns.
Children and Nursery
Joanne Lane has worked in Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene’s children’s department since coming to our church over 30 years ago. She is bubbly and full of love for all of our little church members. Joanne has helped create an environment where your child will laugh, learn, play, explore, develop, and feel loved in a safe environment! At Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene your children will learn about God and make life long friends.
Youth Leaders
Roger and Stacie have been working as the youth directors for over five years. They provide a safe and structured place for teens to gather, make friends, and learn Gods word. Roger and Stacie love kids and look out for them. They believe in creating a youth group where students can feel like they belong and grow into young men and women of God who poses a strong moral character. You can learn more about our children’s ministry and youth group “here“.
Music & Missions
Dr. Harvey is a professor at Arizona State University and is an accomplished pianist and worship leader. She leads our contemporary praise band, Light the Fire. She was recently elected to the Lake Havasu School Board and is also pursuing ordination in the Church of the Nazarene. She also is our current President of our Nazarene Missions International Council. She has a true burden for missions, as her parents were life-long missionaries.
