What Happens When We See God?

Why we don’t see God clearly . . .

I. REBELLION AGAINS GOD

A. The People of Israel Had Been Blessed.

B. Sin – Willful Disobedience To The Known Will of God.

II. WE TEND TO PUT GOD IN A BOX

III. WE SEE GOD THROUGH OURSELVES

A. We Tend to Project Upon God Our Dominate Qualities.

B. When We See God Through Ourselves Problems Arise

1. Balance.

2. Exclusiveness.

IV. WE OFTEN SEE GOD THROUGH OUR PARENTS

V. WE SEE GOD THROUGH THE MEDIA

VI. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SEE GOD CLEARLY?

Three Great Passions

THREE GREAT PASSIONS

Philippians 1:3-6, 9-11

I. WE MUST PRAY, PLAN, AND EXPECT A SUPERNATURAL INVASION

OF GOD IN OUR CHURCH

A. Spiritually, Nothing of Significance Will Ever Happen in Our

Lives Without a “Supernatural Invasion of God.”

B. We Must Therefore Pray, Plan and Expect a Supernatural

Invasion of God on Our Church. 2 Timothy3: 5

II. WE MUST BE DRIVEN BY A PASSION FOR HOLINESS

A. We Are a People Who Are Called to Holiness.

B. We Must Experience it Personally.

C. We Must Proclaim it Publicly. Titus 2: 11-13

D. We Must Model it Consistently.

III. LOST AND BROKEN PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD, THEREFORE

LOST AND BROKEN PEOPLE MUST MATTER TO US

A. We Must Put The Issue of “Lost And Broken People” on The

Front Burner of Our Concern.

B. God Loves People More Than Anything. (John 3:16)

C. What Do You See Around You? Luke 19: 11

D. Do You Have Eyes for the Harvest?
